This is so lovely. The sensory, as the Aurist's interview with Paul Lynch just discussed, is so essential to writing. Kids have it naturally - and yet somehow, somewhere, it can get hard to access as an adult. It's on my brain today...

Yes to the inspiration of kids’ art! I so miss the days when my home was graced with it. Vesper’s art brings it all back. It’s incredible. The taylor swift sekshin! 😍

isn't it amazing? I keep pictures from my kids, especially my younger son, on my bulletin board by my desk for the same reason--I just love how fearless kids are about making art.

On my desk I have a 3D cardboard house that my son made for me. The only rooms are a kitchen and a library—ha! He knew me well, even as a little kid.

right? so much energy--but somehow in a way that's calming, rather than stressful. I think it's Bronwen's insistence on creative practice rather than production that I especially love.
