This week's goal is to revise at least one poem; I've already selected it. I've blocked off an hour each morning (beginning tomorrow at 10), and I'll find time in the evenings while waiting for dinner to cook to read instead of looking at the news. I'll also forgo Netflix until the weekends.

How did the week go, Teresa? I hope you've had some great reading and writing this week - and the sweet reward of Netflix this weekend. ;)

Hi Nancy. I did get lots of great reading in. I got some writing done, yet I strive for better concentration and duration this week. I'm into the Pomodoro System. Thanks for sharing it--I hadn't heard of it before. And yes! I got my Netflix in!

Yay! So glad pomodoros are working for you - they work for me when I'm really sluggish, because it's *just* 25 minutes, but also I can almost always do more than I think. (And then I put a little sticker in my planner. ;))

I'm late in posting my goals! This week I planned to finish a draft of an essay and write a pitch for it and also get (re/re/re)-oriented in my book project that stalled out with some unexpected madness this summer. I need a more specfic goal than re-orient. I'm having trouble working on more than one thing across the hours (shooting for 5-7/week). Hope everyone's work is going well this week!

Charlotte, how did it go this week? I think a lot of folks (myself for sure!) are in a re/re/re-orient space - I spent a while this morning re-reading my query letter and thinking, like, okay, what is this? Happy writing!

I hear you! It's gone well for the smaller stuff--I still feel I'm in "hovering" mode for the book project. I remember Annie Dillard writing that if you have time away from a project it can take at least three days to get back in.
