isn't it great? this is one where I saw Emily post that picture of her journals and her plan to turn those notes into drafts, and I was like, I *have* to know how you're doing this! she takes such a smart and kind approach here!

This was so helpful! My process has recently become many tiny notes on the Keep App. Finding ways to draw something out of them is so very helpful--especially the emphasis on "kind eyes." Thank you!

And also, we played School's Out for my kids on every last day of school. I think my daughter is starting that tradition with her littles. (They also started out today on their first day of school to the sound of Smashmouth's "Rockstar" (RIP Steve Harwell).

isn't it great? I've long been an advocate of what you're doing--just writing into whatever little chunk of time you have, with whatever material is at hand--but I've never had a good system for stepping back and doing something with all those snippets and starts and good ideas.
