a good creatures interview with poet and health and parenting writer Wendy Wisner about remembering to include yourself in your caregiving & creating through the life-altering experience of parenthood
Loved this! A fun surprise to find this interview here. I'm familiar with Wendy's writing through LinkedIn. Her work touches on truly important topics—and she does it so well.
"I'm still surprised how much time and energy parenting takes, even once you have big kids" — so true! And yes, the "emotional work."
Needing uninterrupted time to write...I remember how hard that was during the years my children were young and also now in caregiving for an elderly parent. We do what we can and when we are creatives, the need to create never goes away, even if it is dormant a long time.
So true to my experience. Thanks Nancy and Wendy!
So glad! ☺️
Thank you for reading! ❤️
LOVE this advice --> “You are a creative person, and you will use your creative mind to make a life that works for you.”
Isn't it great? ❤️

Follow through insights by looking at my notes more often. Following through with a bias towards action ❤️
